Any way to remove light wood trim scratches?

I have very light wood trim scratches which it came from the dealer with. Granted, you have too look at it in the correct lighting and angle to see them, but they are there. Any way to gently remove them by hand with some sort of compound? I dont want to buy a PC and buff it out.

Most interior wood is coated with some kind of clear. It's usually pretty soft/fragile stuff, but you can often (gently) polish it by hand. Don't use anything really aggressive.

I tend to err on the side of caution with this, I'd rather have some marring than have to have the wood refinished. To be honest, I've gotten to where I generally live with it...maybe polish it gently every few years.

You can use a plexiglass/lexan scratch remover (the kind to remove scratches from motorcycle helmet faceshields and windshields). They will take most, if not all the scratches out of the plastic coating on the wood veneer. Follow that with Meguiar's plastic polish and you're "good to go"

We use it at the BMW shop.

FPII works great for this situation and then maintain it with Plexus.

Apply with a soft MF and try and go in one direction only when polishing.

Sounds like a job for Klasse AIO! Works for me.

Klasse sounds a bit safer than the plexiglass scratch remover method (I'll test that on my parents car). But does AIO remove the scratches and not just hide them>?

Well, it'll remove fine scratches. I haven't found it necessary to use any dedicated product for deeper scratches, though. If you apply them carefully, you can also use milder paint polishes and cleaner waxes for deeper scratches - just do it slowly and be careful. I use 1Z Metallic PolishWax for this purpose sometimes, with good results.
