Any updates on when 4" pads will be available at DC or AG?

Me too! I also started a thread about this on the Autogeek.net forums and I know there were some people there interested in 4" pads as well.

Why and i Mean Why Must you guys bring this subject up!!!!!!!!:thanks

I have been waiting years and years for Aaron to make this pad exsist, okay joking :) aside several months but it felt like years though, I finally forget just for a split second and you guys reminded me...HAHA!!!!!!! again :thanks Fellas j/j:2santa

hopefully Aaron will chime in when he has time and give us some inside dirt on this 4in pad if they will exsit or not...plus the status on the other items for example the Syrup Polish for WW and the Edge Palm Adatper and the schmitt...just to name a few..more to come from Dedication to detail no doubt about it "Diversify"...i just hope it all is released intime before :smile xmas so i can place my order...

4" velcro's would be nice also....the 4" in the 2000 system may be tricky..4" generate alot of heat...may interfere with the bonding to the center piece...
I have seen people melt pads and backing plates on 4" pads with a PC running on 6...

I use 4" pads for correction..and actually smoked polish...whisps of smoke came from under the pad...and pad was real hot...

was on a test panel with speed 6...just wanted to get an Idea of what it can do with them and extents ....so now I stay at 5 tops....6 for a few secs on a scratch...you can burn clearcoat on 6..trust me..lol...I have a junk hood thet proved it....

but I like the 4's for correction...does it fast...

First we need to launch the ShMitts, then the 4 inch pads will be launched.
Great news! I'm still waiting to see a picture of the Shmitt though. :)

Also, as Al mentioned 4" pads do generate a good amount more heat than 6" pads. They're great for paint correction or getting into small areas. Personally, I never turn my PC above speed 5. So, typically I feel pretty safe about not burning paint or delaminating a pad. I'd rather polish a spot 2-3 times at speed 5 and feel safe than polish it once at speed 6 and be worried about doing damage.

You are on the money there Mike..using a 4" pad should be on speed 5 tops....but there will be people who use it at 6 and say it failed as far as any MFG goes...there are many threads on the forums about backing plates busting up..or melting pads...I use 5 tops...6 for a sec or 2 on a scratch..tops...seen the power..lol....I have seen people say they run 6 all the time...good luck...

would these 4 inch edge pads work on the Cyclo if I got two adapters?
I am a bit embarrassed. After sending you my answer and then seeing another post about this on Detail City, I actually went and tested the adapter on the Cyclo and WOW indeed it works. In fact not only does it work but then I made some 4 inch pads to test on it and they actually are closer to the machine with the adapters and are half the weight of the Cyclo backing plates! This significant reduction in the weight actually makes the machine vibrate about 50% less than it already did. It is smooth as butter. I am very excited about this and will now work even harder to get the 4inch pads on the market but the current Edge2000 DA adapter actually fit, and work PERFECTLY!!

Edge 2000 and the Cyclo Polisher? Awwwwwwww yeaaaaaaaaahhhhh!

I'd love to see the 4" pads too. I love the 6" on my PC and the 8" on the rotary. Any idea when we might see these coming to market?

Well guys GOOD NEWS!! 4 inch pad launch in now scheduled for early Nov, maybe even earlier. Now that the ShMiTTs are done and selling really well, we have been working hard on the 4 inch E2K's. One problem has come up though. It seems that the 4 inch pads are going to cost more than two single sided which does not jive with our marketing of the e2K but is unfortunatlly a sad reality. I think we are looking at one 4 inch e2k (2 sided-=2 pads) costing about $9.00 end user each. I am curious before we spend the time money and effor on this if people will accept this? Lets hear from the "people"!
