Any reviews of the wax or sealant from Surf City?

Trying to look up any reviews of the surf city sealant or wax, but doesn't seem to be anything in the search to give an idea of longevity or use. Anyone have any experience with these ?

the sealant is 'nice' and very slick after curing. Looks pretty good but doesn't last particularly long (think Wolfgang in terms of durabilty).

the glaze was terrible and impossible to remove, instantly dried and I literally had to chisel it off the paint.

the speed demon carnauba qd is pretty nice as well.

The wax speed detailer glass cleaner and wheel cleaner are excellent.I never had any problems with there product. the prices are reasonable and they stand behind there product. There microfiber towels SUCK. Nice people

Use glaze AFTER sealant...........

I did. Absolutely impossible to use as well. I would wipe it over a 3' x 3' area and go to wipe it off and it would be absolute cement. I ended up marring the paint trying to scrub it off, its dry time was like -4 seconds, very crazy. I know two other people in Florida (they can chime in if they want) that had the same exact problem, 100% impossible to use.

The window cleaner is very good and the road grime destroyer is amazing.

I've used the Barrier Reef Carnauba (in a bottle) a couple of times. I was very pleased with the result. It's super easy to apply, super easy to remove. Longevity was good to very good for a product of this type.

SC has a couple very good products that are becoming "standards" in my weekly routine.

Barrier Reef Carnauba is one of the best liquid nubas ive used. the glass cleaner top notch ,speed demon carnauba qd is great, grime destroyer is amazing and tire shine is nice also. Ive used most everything in the line and the only thing i didnt like was car wash with wax.

+1 on the grime destroyer, glass cleaner, speed demon detailer and the hot rod protective detailer. Next on the list is the dash cleaner and leather treatment. BTW, I called and asked if they sold the grime destroyer in gallons or larger sizes and the lady responded with a "no we don't" and was silent. "OK, thanks for your help" and I hung up.

To the OP, I have not tried the sealant or wax.

I really like the tire product, too. I couldn't quite figure the stuff out initially. It's an odd, thin blue fluid that get misted on the tires. After it sits for a while, it "dries". It leaves a natural appearance like you'd see on a new tire with just a hint of gloss. The fling factor is quite low. The fling is kind of dry and e-z to wipe away, it's non-greasy. Very interesting product. I'd put it in my top two favorite lo-fling products.

I think the Road Trip Grime Destroyer is my favorite new product of 2008. I really like this stuff and have found myriad uses. I keep one spray bottle at 100% and another bottle mixed down to 50%. I generally use the 50% blend - - it's more than adequate for weekly cleanup. I liken this stuff to P21S TAW with a bit more punch and at a fraction of the price. Good stuff! :)

Glass cleaner seems to have received a lot of rave reviews. I like it, I'd say it's one of the better glass cleaners out there.

I've got some other products from them that I really need to dig into and see what they're all about. Tim sent me a nice sampler pk of things to play with. Very nice people, BTW. They are going that extra step to ensure 110% satisfaction. Top notch organization :2thumbs:

I'll have to agree with Tom P. SCG is a good company, i have the 2 liter size of their glass cleaner, grime destroyer, hot rod detailer, and barrier reef carnauba wax (got this one for half price at Autogeek). I also have the black tire pro spray, the shine on package, and the speed demon wax detail spray. I have nothing but praise for their products. I appreciate the heads up Todd on the Nano shine glaze coat, i haven't used it yet, i think i'll just use the nano seal protective coat and afterward apply the barrier reef carnauba wax.:woot2:

I just received two bottles of their wash for a b-day gift. We'll see how it works.

I love the tire shine and glass cleaner. Looks like I need the Grime Destroyer next though.

I just want to give an update to this thread, based on my experience. I too had trouble with the Nano Glaze coat just like Todd and others experienced. I contacted SCG on Thanksgiving day, and received a very nice reply on Thanksgiving day from Tim Miller. The Nano glaze coat has been reformulated, it's now called the Nano gloss coat. Tim sent the Nano gloss coat to me and some other goodies free of charge. I look forward to trying the new formula. I can say Tim Miller really does stand by his customer satisfaction policy.:bigups

good to hear. I just noticed that the Discount Auto Parts Superstore here in Jax is now carrying this full line. I read a couple labels and picked up their 'pocket guide'. I will go back and pick up a few items. I always love it when I can pick up good stuff OTC when needed.
