Any Reccomendations......

Hey guys, the windshield in my truck is etched from my old wiper blades and the etching is driving me crazy. Is there any products out there, like a glass rubbing compound or anything that will work to get these buffed/polished out. They're minor enough i cannot feel it with my nail in the glass but it makes it very annoying to drive. So anything you guys know of that will work is worth a try for me!

Zaino glass polish or Duragloss glass polish or Mothers chrome polish may help but probably won't fix it completely.

well, like i said, theyre minor enough that i cant even feel them....i might try some mothers chrome polish

get a cerium oxide glass polishing kit ..it will take it out....will not take deep scratches out..but wiper rub it will....

i did and a post actually arose there from this site. They said that you can get distortion from using that on the windshield and you have to be super careful using it. Would i be better off asking my local glass stores?

just use your head and you should be OK

if the are not that bad (catch with a nail)

then you should not need to remove that much glass

the less you remove the less the chance of distoration



I think Eastwood has a kit that you can use with your drill
