"Luck" Residue of design
Has anyone here ever seen or heard of a finishing polish that is clear? I am not talking about a LSP that these various companies call a polish like TW Ice etc. But an actual polish.

NOPE !What is the purpose of this product ?
I was thinking about the stone chips on the front bumper and surrounding the grill and how they get polish residue in them, I normally use an IPA wipedown to clean them up before an LSP but I was just wondering why no car care product manufacturers have come out with a clear finishing polish to eliminate the need to clean them out before an LSP is applied.
Time to improve your polishing skills
Or use something like EZ CREME GLAZE to clean up the mess.

why don;t you just paint touch up the chips and you wouldn't have to worry so much >?
well it is part of detailing in my book............evidently that's not in yours. It's called extra profit center, which pays for the paint and oyu to touch it up
Yes, it is (can be) part of detailing and it certainly is an option for upselling. We have discussed various paint chip repair systems on the board. I don't do it for a couple of reasons 1) Not many requests for the service for the DDs 2) Because I haven't had many opportunities (requests) I don't have much confidence in doing a superior (ie. looks like factory) job. The same goes for protection film installation and a variety of other services I could offer. If I'm not going to be one of the best (or at least really good) providers I'll rely on those that are. I don't think that makes me any lesser of a detailer.well it is part of detailing in my book............evidently that's not in yours.
