Any Audiophiles or Home theater guys.

I have issues
Here is a little of what I do for a living. I work for a high end HT/Audio shop and couldn't believe we were doing this in his bedroom. He has more through out the house and a dedicated theater in the basement but this is a first in the bedroom for me.

I loved the old Classe gear. I auditioned it many years ago. I don't remember the model numbers and long ago threw out the spec sheets. It was a power and pre and I think I had them paired with a CAL DAC/Drive combo.

But I wound up with a Linn set up fronted by a Theta DAC/Drive combo.

Home theatre, not so much for me. Old school 2-channel music guy.

We carry Linn also, not my style but beautiful stuff.

Those amps are small in size put dam they are powerful.

I used to sell all igh-end gear in the '80 all audio.

I have now a 50" Panasonic Plasma Pro monitor (blades) all power filtered via Monster Signature regulator and conditioner all in a Monster M-Design cabinet.

Upstairs a 36" LCD upconverted to 1080P via Bose

I miss my old audio gear!

Nice work, wish I knew you did this when I had our place done. HACKS did the work and threw them out.

You know I didn't think so either. I had a friend with a Linn system fronted by a "built" LP12. It sounded pretty darned awesome, but I wasn't going to go down the analog front end route (for a number of reasons) so I wasn't considering the Linn. I was really leaning towards Audio Research to go along with the Theta I already had. But after many hours of blind auditioning I picked the Linn. Surprised, I brought in my Wife to make sure that I was hearing what I thought I heard. Sure enough, with blind testing and no prompting from either me or the staff she arrived at the same conclusion.

A note about the audition process. All of the "software" was my own and covered a wide range of music types. All of the connections were direct, ie. no switchers. With the exception of the speakers (which were not Linn) all of the equipment was located behind me for the "blind" audition. The front end used was an identical Theta set-up just as the one I owned.
