Anti-Static Products

Just One More Coat
I recently started using some Fk1 products...I used their anti static QD spray on my car right after doing the polish and waxing.....I have really noticed so far that my cars doesnt collect as much dust and in this last rain the amount of dirt that stuck to the car was ALLOT less.

I'm wondering if any of you have used anti-static products?

I'm kind of excited about seeing if this is really working and helping to repel the dust and so fore come the better weather.

Your thoughts thanks

Beemerboy-

If you're talking about #425 I concur. My area of the country is flourishing in full spring mode, pollen and fuzz everywhere. Much less collects on my car than my gal's which I did with another QD as an experiment. I would like to see a product that does the same for dashboards etc. HMMM?
I think I'll do a small spot on my dash with it and see how it goes......

I realize it's designed for paint but I've used it on wood furniture, kitchen counter tops and more, so why not the dash? It has worked exceptionally well on all the other surfaces.

#425 has been great this past week with the dry, dusty weather. I #425'd my car over a week ago, drive it daily, and keep in the garage at night. There is a very very thin layer of dust, but you honestly can barely tell.

#425 is safe to spray on dash, doors, windows, trim, etc. I use it directly on my dash and wipe away. Currently, I have a layer of CG VRT and haven't noticed any diminishing of shine/protection; just much less dust attraction.

How does PB Spray & Gloss or Spray & Wipe do with dust repelling? After polishing, I have noticed more dust collection than after just a wash. I have some S&G on the way, so I'm hoping it works as a good protectant.

FK says that it does have uv inhibiters, but they don't mention interior dashes / trim.

The S&W will not incur any dust collecting its a cleaner of sorts....the S&G will its not a cleaner its a gloss enhancer and that will have some level of oil.

As for protection you will not see much if any with either of these product that I know of

I wanted to followup with this thread and report my findings on the anti-static results of the FK1 from this week.....As some of you may know NO CA has just broke a 100 year old record for rain fall in March....Last weekend I did a full detail on my wife's Murano....I did

1) Washed and clayed
2) PB...SSR1 with a Edge cutting pad on a rotary
3) PB P-w-C with PC polishing pad
4) FK1 hand glaze
5) Nattys with FK1 QD spray

Then followed up FK1 antic static spray to make sure that I got all the wax residue off.....OK

This week I watched the car for how much dirt stuck to the car and its a NOTICABLE amount less...almost to the point of nothing to speak of....its rained every day this week here...I have to say that I'm impressed....in addition I have also noticed the same on my BMW which I had done the week before but that car dose not get the mileage that the Murano dose.

Just recieved my order consisting of FK1 108 Topkote antistatic. Thought the smell was a little over powering when applying to the interior of my '88 Accord and '01 MDX and was really worried about a lingering smell afterwards. Required just a light buffing. The interior came out great in both vehicles and absolutely no odor. Vinyl looked brand new after one coat in the Accord-hadn't been treated in years. MDX plastic, vinyl and leather came out gorgeous too. No greasy fealing on leather and slippery as can be. Best product I have ever used. Glad I bought the gallon. I'll have to try it on the tires next.

Also recieved a gallon of 425 which I haven't used yet. The 1016 Poly Wash Antistatic was on backorder.
