Anti Autopia?

Is winter over yet? Normally I can keep my vehicles clean throughout winter except for a couple days here and there. This year it has been difficult. Light snow showers every other day it seems. Last night, 2 inches with strong wnds to keep it on the roads this morning. It was still dark when I got to work, but when I came out - I had to laugh. Besides mudd, I don't think my car would get much worse looking. I had to take some pics when I got home. Is this called anti-autopia?



Anyone else have some really bad pictures of their cars? It is supposed to get above freezing next week, first time in over a month I believe. A chance to detail...

We need more winter up here. Lake Powell is half full right now. All of our lakes nearby are at 40%. We need snow in a huge way. We either need to get dumped on in the next couple weeks or we need to have the wettest spring in decades. Either way, we need some water. I'd tolerate my car looking like that to avoid the water rationings that are sure to be this year. :(
 
APT, I'm very sorry, but I will have to issue you a detailing citation carrying a three week ban from the forum for having a car in that condition. Autopia Code 6104.9 strictly prohibits public display of hideousness. I understand this is your first known offense, but I have no choice.

Man, I feel your pain. This winter in Cincinnati has been especially sucky. It's been in the 20's and below for the last month and a half. A few days we even had below zero temps. Snow showers almost everyday, ugh. :( My Lincoln has been tucked away in the garage, but the Explorer is a total mess. It's going to take at least a couple days to get it back into shape when it warms up. :down
 
Uhh, ohhh. Well, I have to get to work to pay for the thing. It was already salty yesterday, just not nearly so. I figured it would be better to keep one car dirty and keep the mostly clean one clean. Always need at least one vehicle clean, right? :nixweiss Besides, we should show pictures in bad states just to prove how well we can get them to look when we have the opportunity. Just consider these the before pictures with after yet TBD (To Be Done).

I broke down and had the chance to wash (non-QEW style) my car yesterday afternoon. My fingers were just about ready to fall off and were moving really sluggishly by the time I was done.



Today I QD'd it, dressed the tires, quick waxed the rims, and felt good enough to give the trim a quick dressing. I feel much better now! :)
 
This St. Louis weather pretty much sucks too!! The temp always seems to be around 30 or below at night, so a wash without a dry, leads to a nice ice sheet locking you out of the car the next morning.....
 
As with some of the other people who live in this area of the country, it seems to snow every other day. My black WReX is now white covered with salt (some roads are still covered with salt with no snowfall) they put so much down. It's driving me friggin crazy. I daren't post a pic;) I don't have a camera anyway.
 
It's been raining here for the past 2 days. I haven't washed my car in 3 1/2 weeks now. The rain seemed to wash off all the crap that was on the car, at least for the hood and roof. This weekend looks good for a wash. :D
 
TKR are you a little soggy ? 6.3 inches in 36 hrs !

Yeah I pretty much hated you when I saw your name "F 355" now you're just rubbing salt in the wound.:D
