My L5-S1 is killing me!
Today I found a great way to simulate a carpet extractor with a fertilizer/weed sprayer. Feel free to comment...
I bought a $10 pressure sprayer from a local store (the kind you pump up)
My method is to fill it about 1/2-1 gal with carpet cleaner diluted to whatever you normally use. Spray down all the carpeting as you brush it in. Now that it's empty, I fill it with 1 gal of clean hot water. You can then spray down clean water just ahead of the wet vac sucking the dirty water up.
The main issue this solves is that I used to spray the cleaning solution and water with normal trigger type sprayers. I had to pull the trigger so much my hand would ache after pulling maybe 100 times! With the pressure sprayer, you pump it maybe 10 times for almost 1 gallon of liquid.
Anyway, hadn't seen this method before so I figured I'd share, I think it works good for what it cost me
Feel free to comment if you like the idea or have better ones.
