I've got an old vw jetta with some fairly deep scratches. (previous owner used a shovel to remove snow off the car!) wondering what might be the best approach to reduce the apperance of the scratches. i've read the info on the site about removing scratches, and i'm waiting for the ebook to download. Also i wanted to use the clay to remove those hard spots and leave a smooth finish. Any help in restoring this VW?

love the site by the way!

After you download the Ebook, read the section titled The Perfect Shine. It's a step by step guide to bring out the potential of your paint.

To answer your question, you will need to clay, compound, polish, and wax/seal it.

As far as the scratches, it all depends on how bad the scratch is. If it's just little surface scuffs and minor scratches that aren't any deeper than a couple layers of clear, you will be able to get those out with a cutting pad and compound like 3M PI III RC or 1ZUPP (many more to choose from).
