Another "help with black" thread

Well, first off I would like to say thank you to everyone for the wealth of information shared on this site. I have learned a bit and I'm still learning.

I have done numerous searches on this subject, and I haven't come to a conclusive answer.

I would like some advice on what products/techniques to use to remove some defects in my cars' paint. I know everyone has their own opinions, but I am looking for a few things.

1. Easy to use

2. Hand applied stuff only. I don't have a PC, and I don't want to buy one right now.

3. Price

I have alot of hard water spots that I can't seem to get out, and just a bit of swirls starting. The car is barely 1 year old and only has 9000 miles on her. I've washed the car religiously once a week. I've claybar'd the car twice, and every other week I apply a coat of Zymol wax.

What do you guys recommend to get rid of the water spots and swirls?

Here's a few pics of what I'm working with, sorry for the crappy quality. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Here is a good link to a thread that shows some tests with removing swirls by hand:

And here is a good thread on using ScrtachX:

How to remove a defect by hand with ScratchX - Car Care Forums: Meguiar's Online

The water spots, if deeply etched, might not be correctable by hand....... but it won't hurt to try. Some of the products work by filling, which isn't always a bad thing, especially if you're working by hand on a black car. There is only so much you'll be able to correct working by hand, but you can make it look a lot better as some of the pictures in that thread illustrate.

Accumulator has some more tips on doing stuff by hand, so check back later tomorrow and see if he has replied yet.
