Another Black 997 Porsche (Sun Pics)

This was a Porsche with some light marring so I did a 2 step polishing process. First step, rotary with a finishing pad and OCP and then used my Cyclo again with OCP and 2X OCW.

Light interior cleaning also.

Sweet!

Rotary with a finishing pad + OCP? Which finishing pad? Why did you have to hit it with the cyclo afterwards?

Thank you Merci and Greg.

I used a white finishing pad, 100 ppi at around 1200 rpm's. I used the Cyclo with Lake Country Blue pads to clean up any fine buffing swirls. I gave it 2 coats of OCP because of some smears I got on the paint because of sweat....man it was humid today in South Texas!! :faint:

Thanks again,

Anthony

I only find one thing wrong with these pictures: their size!!! Please make them all the same large picture. We love studying them. :) :getdown :getdown :getdown

Yea, not sure what happened there :nixweiss

But as requested I fixd em!

Thanks for the compliments everyone,

Anthony

Typically superb work, Anthony! :bow

BTW, aren't those Carrera S/4 wheels a PITA to clean? 5 spokes are great, but what's the deal with all those holes in 'em?

Anthony,

You make Porsche's look sooo deep, wet, and reflective! When I get mine, I will definitely call you!

Keep up the great work!

Cheers,

I can from personal experience tell you the rims are a huuuge PITA to clean :) I have the same 19" Carrera S wheels on my '05 Boxster S (crappy pic quality)

Nice Boxster nathan :2thumbs:

Thanks to everyone for the enthusiastic words :)

Scott -

Yea those wheels can be a huge pain because just when you think you have them clean you then move the car and suddenly :doh ...you missed a crevice!!

While those Porsche wheels suck (but the look great when clean) they are not as bad as the new Turbo wheels!!

Later,

Anthony

thanks for the kind words Anthony -

I find the best way to clean them is get a waffle-weave type MF towel, dip it in the suds, (after a pre-spray with wheel cleaner) and use my index and middle finger, wrapped in the towel, to scrub out all the little crevices, starting from the inside out.

I've got all the scars, however, to prove that i clean the inside curvature of those wheels every wash :)

Anthony- [insert usual complimentary remark about the caliber of work here ;) ]

Ever try a cylindrical BHB for the recesses in wheels like that? Some of our vehicles have deep tunnels for the lugs/valvestems and (other than using swabs) I can't clean 'em without the BHBs. The BHBs rinse clean so they beat the swabs IMO. Just a thought (gee, how often do I think of something to suggest to *you* :D ).

tomee, aj, accumulator

Thanks :)

Accumulator - Thanks for the tip my friend....anytime you have one please pass it on :hifive:

Ron... If I used donut glaze on the tires then you could make that comparison :doh
