Annual "Vettes on the Square" Show...

It was 99 degrees with a heat index of 108, but that wasn't enough to stop 200 Corvette owners from showing up for the annual "Corvettes on the Square" in Independence, MO on Saturday.

The Square in old downtown Independence is under construction/restoration, but took a one-day time-out for the event...

We were planning to enter the show, but we had to baby-sit our grandson at noon, so we were just visitors... Got there around 10am and left at 11:30. If you like Vettes, that was the place to be!

I missed the show due to yard work of all things, but damn it was HOT enough to melt fiberglass yesterday. Hope no one passed out from heat stroke. Looked like they had a great turnout!
