And This is My Final Answer

Okay after two weeks of use here are my observations on Wolf Gang.

1. Funny Name

2. Pre Cleaner does not apply easily, but does work and look nice

3. Sealant gives a deep wet look I am very happy with

4. Sealant spreads easily

5. Sealant can be reapplied the next week after a wash and give even better results

6. Sealant makes chrome stand out

7. Detail Spray is not worth it, lacks shine

8. Car wash soap is great, better than Sonax in my opinion

So will I leave Meguairs, YES, Will I leave Liquid Glass for it YES, Will I leave Zaino for it………. YES

I state it now this replaces Zaino hands down. Even after a 2 day rain in Florida the car still felt smooth, Zaino never felt this good. Now I am open to ther products and will continue to try them, but after comparing:

Mothers, Meguairs, Liquid Glass, Zymol, and the coveted Zaino, I choose Wolf Gang. I still have yet to try Klasse so we will see….

I choose them over Zaino because it offers a better shine, better feel and I like the end results..I even have over 12 coats of Z2 and Z5 on comapred to WG..

It is for sure my product choice for black. It is the answer to black that I have been looking for. I love Zaino, but I didn't care for it on black.

As soon as I get some free time, I will be able to compare Zaino and WG on red.

My observations:

1. Smells like cheap cologne, but I can save on Old Spice and Brut now.

2. If applied with a foam hand pad, the Pre-cleaner is pretty easy to use. Maybe not as easy as Vanilla Moose or Klasse AIO, but still pretty easy. One panel at a time, wipe off, move on.

3. The Sealant goes on very easily and wipes off just as easy. Compares to S100, Poorboy's EX, 1Z Glanz Wax and CMW for ease of use.

4. Very liquid look for a sealant, very carnauba looking.

5. Extremely slick. Even my customers are commenting on it.

6. The solvent content of the sealant is either extremely low or non-existant. I used it on a single stage black paint job (Lexus LX470) and got no color transfer.

7. QD is nothing special and not really compatible with carnaubas. I have Meguiars #16 on my car and after using the WG QD on the trunk lid, I was getting some pooling of water while the rest of the car beaded like mad. If you are just using it over the WG twins though, you should be okay.

8. A little goes a long way with both the pre-cleaner and sealant, making it a good value.

9 Durability remains to be determined.

I agree with the above observations. However, I did notice that it was a dust magnet. This seems to have diminished after the car was washed though. I will be adding an additional layer this weekend to see what effect it has.

Scottwax and Mr. Clean: you both mentioned being disappointed in the detail spray, as was I. I saw this yesterday in the AutoGeek forum, though - http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=34633

Basically, they discovered that the scent in the spray interfered with the formula, so they're tweaking it. jason@autogeek has offered to send out a bottle of the new formula to anyone that got in on the $10 kit (see the post I linked for details).

Tort

Yes there is, but as often as I wax, polish whatever you want to call it as long as it lasts 4 weeks I am good.

On a side note I just re applied Zaino to my red car. It is no where near as smooth as WG and no where near as shiny.

Scottwax,

What QD do you usually apply on #16? I'd hate to diminish the effectiveness on my first application of #16 by using an incompatible QD.

Thanks!

Clearkote's Quikshine. It is a water based QD and works great on everything that I have used.
