An old friend

Since I got my Alero in January I hardly had the time or the weather to work on it, so I really wasn't even thinking about my old friend the Taurus.

Well finally last weekend I had some time to show it some needed love. You can tell from the before pics that she has just been sitting.

It was:
Washed
Clayed
Polished W/ PB's PwS and topped w/ Natty's wax

And of course me :D

It just goes to show that regular care of your paint pays off, the taurus has just been sitting in the elements for close to 6 solid months and it took very little effort to get it looking good again.

Hope you enjoy...I feel better now

Great job :bigups . That pollen is a killer, you clean your car and its all green and yellow in a couple of hours.:wow:

It still cleans up good and looks great! :bigups

A nosy question and just tell me to buzz off if I'm getting too much into your affairs.
Is there some reason you still have it? Since it has been parked, you must not need it for transportation and I would think it would sell fairly quickly.

Thanks for all the kind words...even Dave
I'll wear a tux next time, and yes...I think that the second generation Taurus was the best that Ford had introduced

The reason I still have it is because of a special young lady who "should" have her license this year, and what better gift than a 5 star crash rated vehicle for a new driver.
That and the fact that the dealer was only going to offer me $300 for it. I told him "I would burn it first" then asked the young lady if she wanted a car

Absolutely ...it'll be a fine car to be in for a first wreck:surrender

Ah, the memories. I had my first wreck only 10 days after I got my license. That was forgotten by my friends after someone else we hung out with got into an accident on the way back from getting her license. I would like to note, that the accident described above is the only accident that was my fault in 9 years of driving thus far.

Great job on the Taurus. You're right, it is a lot easier working on a vehicle that has been cared for.
