An Intersting way to drum up new business

wow! people sell anything on ebay. only thing is not many people are looking for a detail on ebay. also bid is very low so if anyone does bid they wont make no money off it. right now the bid is at .99 cents.

I don't think eBay has become big enough to start selling services yet. Also, you would have to heavily promote that auction locally (only place it counts).

It could work. Just think about the publicity it could get for them. If they have a website and they linked to a couple of those auctions then people could at least get their car done and the shop gets the word of mouth benefit. Its better than just handing out freebies. Its internet advertising at a low cost and still offering something a customer can feel good about. It would be a great way to offer a charity detail as well. Have a spot on your website talking about how all the proceeds from ebay auctioned detail jobs go to a specific cause or something. I'll bet that would get a lot of attention.

Actually, I have seen a lot of people sell crap on ebay like GMAIL invites just so they can pad their feedback. I could offer links to OCDetails with a buy it now price of $.01 and load up on postitive feedback just to make myself look more reputable. :lol I don't think my ebay feedback is hurting bad enough to warrant something like that, but I know people who do it.
