Hooked For Life
OK! Whew! That was a lot of downloading! Here is a sampling of my photos from the Amelia Island, FL 2006 Concours D' Elegance. I think I have about 100 or so and after the photos posted here I provided a link to the photo album where you can view all of them.

To say the day was spectacular is a great understatement. It was pretty much like automotive heaven. Please enjoy the photos.

I hope you have as much fun viewing as I did taking. :wavey

Thanks for sharing, looks like there were all types of vehicles represented well. I'd like to know how many hours were put into the cars detailing.

Barry looks exactly the same in person as he does on TV.

I'm unsure how long the detailing process is but I know the great majority of these cars appeared freshly restored from the frame up. I spoke to the man who restored a 1931 Duesenberg.

Quite unfortunately I did several instance of detailing no-nos even at this creme de la creme event :shocked :( Oh well, I'm happy to know my cars have less marring than that brand new Maybach you can see in the album.

Wow..Awesome! Thanks!

I love the red Alfa....but would be happy to bring home just about anything! :p

There were many proud owners at the show but the most extremely apparent one was the gentleman below. The picture only slightly captures how absolutely ecstatic he appeared to be there.

There was another owner in period correct knickers who was also quite elated but I only have a photo of him looking the other way.

Nice! There is a show just like that here in Michigan at the Edsel Ford Estate every year.

I almost though the grass was fake because of how flat and perfectly cut it was!

Some day I'd love to tour the country going to events like this. Amelia was only a taste of what's out there! :bow

I'm glad everyone enjoyed the photos. I plan on returning and continuing to create a pictorial thread every year.
