Am I doing anything wrong..? (pics)

Wanted to practice for the first time with the new PC on my spoiler (since I'm getting a new one anyway). Washed/clayed/washed, the use some Z-PC with a green DAS pad on the light/moderately swirled spoiler (also possible clear coat failure?).

It helped, but I was expecting better results (I know Z-PC is a light abrasive). When I was done, the Z-PC was a little hard to rub off, greasy even. Does that mean I should have worked the polish in longer?

I also have some SFX-2, but didn't get a chance to try it out. Should I go ahead and try the SFX-2 or should I give the Z-PC another go on an orange pad?

Not the best comparison above, but it was nice and smooth with much less effort than doing it by hand like I have for the past few years.

Oh yeah, I'd go MUCH more aggressive than Z-PC. Z-PC is a final finishing polish. Meguiars #83, Optimum Compound, Poorboys SSR2.5 or Menzerna IP are good starting points. Start the more aggressive polish with a green pad, if that doesn't take everything out switch to an orange pad. You can then follow up with Z-PC or FPII to finish out.

Nice GTP btw, here's mine:

Sometimes paint on a spoiler on bumper (or any non-metal) is different. Factories or painters might use a more elastic paint mix. This makes these parts a little more difficult to polish, and going to harsh will do more harm than good. To be safe, you should use a light polish and do a few passes until you're happy with the result.
