Aluminum Polish

Which polish would you guys recommend for polishing aluminum? I want to polish my strut brace and my intake pipe to look like a mirror. Some say Meguiars Hot Rim Mag and Aluminum Polish, have any you used this? If so, what do you think of it? If there's something better, what do you guys recommend?

Thanks

i think meguiars hot rims aluminum polish is awesome.. ive tried mothers and eagle ones aluminum polishes, and i like the meguiars the best for a mirror like shine.. surf city garage also makes some really nice aluminum polishes, but they're wayy overpriced... then again, for how little product you actually use. 25 for a 16 ounce bottle is ok? i guess that depends on who you ask.. i think the megs hot rims is one of the best OTC aluminum polishes

Thanks, just what I'm looking to hear.

Most of the commercial (i.e., readily available) polishes are garbage. The best you'll find is Nuvite.

Usually F7 for the initial heavy cut to remove most oxidization (and if the aluminum is 'raw', to bring out the shine), then S to remove the cut marks and bring out the shine.

Using the Cyclo Polisher

Imho, a cyclo is a necessity for lots of aluminum polishing - you just can't beat it for metal polishing.
