I have spent the better part of the last three days correcting the paint on a Black BMW 750 LI. Under the lights it had swirl marks and RIDs. I also repaired 5 or six rock chips. I used Megs UC and a PC DA. I washed each pannel with Dawn prior to polish. The finish really looks good under the lights now with only a few RIDS. Tomorrow I plan to apply Klasse AIO and SG.

Do I have to rewash each pannel with Dawn before I apply the AIO? Not only am I tired but I don't want to risk putting any scratches back in the paint.

scottma- Glad it's going well.

I'd do *some* kind of finish polishing before the AIO. Sometimes aggressive products leave micromarring that'll only show up under certain lighting conditions; this micromarring is what I'd term "pseudo-holograms" for this reason..you'll never see it under conventional lighting but you *will* see it under other circumstances.

I've never used UC, so maybe I'm wasting bandwidth, but I get this with Meg's M105 quite regularly. And I somehow can't imagine UC leaving a truly ready-to-wax finish

Note that AIO won't have any corrective ability on that paint, and so any polishing/etc. needs to be completed before you move on the the Klasse twins.

I'd only wash if you have a lot of polish residue, otherwise I'd do a QDing with very plush MFs. Doing an IPA wipedown might uncover some residual issues that need resolved, otherwise the AIO will clean the paint just fine (while also perhaps uncovering residual flaws).
