Almost got it! Rotary.

So i've been getting better and better at using the rotary. im pretty good at putting the pad flat on the paint and hardly ever splatter anything but still not a pro. A have a few questions..

- is it ok to tilt the rotary for hard to reach spots? especially on a car with a lot of curves, it is hard to keep it flat.

- i've been using less product and working them longer and i noticed a dont get as much holograms. how do you know when your pad is too dry and you worked it long enough? i never get pad skips.

- i have no choice but to use it outside in the sun most of the time. it worked out for me but some days, it gets really hot! i always mist my pads with qd. is it ok to use in such hot weather?

If you can't keep it flat because of a body line or a tight spot, it's ok to tilt it, but turn down the speed and don't keep the trigger locked. In alot of cases, if you apply little product and work the area longer, it means that you are dry buffing and is leaving swirls. 1 test you can do is: pick up your buffer adn press it down on a body panel, if it leaves behind residue(polish) there is still some there. At this time add a spritz of water/QD and keep working. If you have to work out in the sun, do smaller sections to eliminate dry buffing. Adding QD will always help cool things down too.
