All Purpose Cleaner for Wheel Wells

Can someone please explain what the difference between a strongly mixed car wash and an APC would be?

I would like to clean the car up this weekend and my wheel wells are really dirty. Just finished a paving job and the dirt is caked in there pretty good.

I have alot of car care products but no APC (yet). If I hit the wells with a pressure washer to get the big stuff out, then a strong mix of PB SSS ( 2-3 oz gal) using a pump up sprayer, then brushing and rinsing. How different will the results be?

Would someone confirm PB SSS is Ph neutral approx 7 (I think), what would APC be?

Thanks,

Jeff

yes SS&S is ph neutral ... APC's typically start on the high alkaline level but can be brought down to ph neutral with proper dilution. I would suggest getting some testing strips and make a dilution that suites your needs.

Seems like I am only going to have PB SSS at my disposal this weekend. I will mix up a slick concentrated batch and have at it.

I will keep you posted. I have never had my wells look so bad.

I find the agitation by the brush to be most important either in a real clean (using APC) or a maintenance wash (using soap).
