Went to see the Thunderbirds out at Fort Worth NAS last year, then my son and I immediately headed down to Austin to detail a TT Z06.

Anyway, I flat forgot to post the pics.

Nice! I love the TB's. I went to the Gathering of Mustangs and Legends last saturday! Some crazy stuff what the pilots can do.

Its been so long since I've been to an airshow. Nice pictures. I dont think i could have pulled any off with my outdated sony.

A Nikon N60 isn't a good camera?

In todays world, its ok. But if you get better glass, it sure would help !! You using the stock lens that came with the camera back in the day?

Would a lens filter help?

It's been 25 years since I took my last photography class and mostly used Tri-X and could fix exposure problems while using the enlarger. I think I frame pictures well, but I'm rusty on exposure settings to compensate for differing light and constrast conditions.

Didn't help that day that there was a mix of clouds and blue sky and the jets were sometimes going by at over 400 mph.

great picture Scott. The Blue Angels were here in the Alameda Marina last week. I didn't have time to go watch them though, but they put on such a spectacular show!

Ya know what Scott, a circular polarizing filter will do wonders for your over exposed sunny shots. I cant believe I didnt mention that earlier...sorry man.

Just one reason...quality. I suggested this before knowing that the camera can only shoot in auto. Its all a matter of personal preference though. If the camera can only shoot in the "auto" mode, then your kinda stuck with whatever the camera wants to do. If the person taking the pictures is happy, thats all that really matters anyway.

Man, I wish I can get some of those air show here. After 9/11 we got jack

N90 still good, I know a friend of mine, he still using it.

Scott, go get the Nikon D300 or D3, you wont regret it.. Is coming over this Nov :grinno:
