Air Fresheners / Oder Eliminators??

Beemerboy

Just One More Coat
Recent I have used oder eliminators..they come in a aerosol spray form and can take out smoke smells and the likes of that...they seem to work quite well...I have just started using these and I like the smell that they leave for the customer....I do think that when the customer sees the car and its really turned around...looking great...then when they drive away and its smells pleasant inside its a double whammy

I have two one is berry and the other is lien fresh the later of the two is the one that I like the best...leaves a clean fresh smell

The way that I have been using them is to run the recycle air in the car and spray in and let run thew the vents and circulate around the car.

I always ask the customer if they would like one just in cases some are sensitive to some smells...Haven't had a no yet

Question is are you using one or how do you feel about using them?

I used Febreze for cars... Helps a bit.

I want to try Clearoma, I heard it's pretty good stuff.

Funny you posted this...I've been wanting to ask...does anyone know of any air fresheners that smell like the Meguiars quick detailer or NXT glass cleaner?? or any kind of just clean-ish smell??

So much of the stuff you find in the stores are all fruity or outdoorsy. I love the smell of so many of my good detailing products...I wish there were some that just smelled fresh and clean.

Any ideas??

Poorboy's had an odor removal product at one time. It contained biocides for killing of some odor sources.

I've also used Citrus Magic, Febreze, and Ozium with varying degrees of success.

Steve told me that you can spray a small amount of NL under the seats and in the vents to make the car smell fresh....the problem is that the NL kind of builds up in the vents and requires some cleaning after a while

then you're spraying too much if it's building up:eek:

:rofl I like the blue ones. I usualy have one hanging in my truck.

To answer the question, lately i have been using a fogger type air freshner that claims to be more then just a cover up. So far it does what it says it will do. Just pop the cap and it fogs for about a minute. I also turn the car on and run it thru the ac system. I used one in my truck about a week ago, my dog rides along in the back seat all the time so you know what it smells like lol. And it seems to be holding up. I figured the dog smell would come back quick but it still smells fresh.

Here is what i'm using.

Hi-Tech Industries - Aerosol Odor Eliminator

Its the third row of cans, HT 19060 is the one i use. I buy them from the automagic truck but i know you can buy them online too. I would say give them a shot sommetime.

That is smiliar to the ones that I use and they work great!

i have used the foggers and they work great, the down side is the cost,3 or 4 bucks a can can eat your profits. Sams club sell a product called odo ban in a gallon contanier for 9.99 but it mixes to 5 gallons for a air freshener or sanitizer, nice clean smell. Kills the smell not just cover up.keeps the car from getting that musty smell after a good carpet o apoulstry cleaning

This high tech stuff is what I like too but a whole one is to much in my Tacoma extended cab so I cut it in half. Put a hole in the other half and attach a string and save it in a baggie until I'm ready for it. One half last me about 3-4 months hanging in the back. Mike

I am really surprised that not everyone caught on to my sarcasm in that post. I had no idea that people still used the trees. Guess that just goes to show that it takes all kinds. :)

Those little trees might not eliminate the odor but they do leave the car smelling good for long period of time.

You should smell my sisters car, every week she changes it with a different smelling one and each week I try and see if I can figure it out without looking at it :) .

I also detailed a car that had about 25 to 20 of those placed strategically around the inside of the car. She had told me that the smell had become really bad, but she could never discover what was causing it. Upon detailing and vacuuming of the trunk I discovered the culprit. Behind all the junk a what used to be a frozen package of chicken and fallen behind some stuff and had gone extremely bad.

WHOA! Mystery solv-ed (knowing wink to Inspector Clouseau). That had to be one of your most grossest of finds.

Here is what I used to eliminate the odor as well as any type of Protein Odor. It has done well, I also use a Syringe to inject the stuff into deeper soaked in areas.

I've seen that product, but after what must have been a cursory glance at the labeling , I had the impression that the product was intended for hard surfaces.

Have you been using this for a while? I'm guessing that you haven't had any staining issues on fabrics.
