I have just spent the better part of the day removing swirls from my wife's white honda civic. I had to use an propel yellow pad woth megs #4 to finall get the damn swirls out. Now I am trying ot secide whether I should use VM or AIO next before I top with UPP or FMJ.

Please advise!

WHEW! Single stage white Honda paint--never again for me:)

I'd go with AIO, as I'm not sure the "deepening" effect of VM will really benefit you on the white. AIO will leave the surface ready for any sealant, whereas the oils in VM may offer some compatibility problems.

Congrats on your work with that paint, though. Offer pics upon completion.

I think I would go with VM. IIRC, The oils in #7 are supposed to be great for SS paints, so the oils in VM would probably have a similar effect. AIO is also a great choice. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. :nixweiss

After VM, I think UPP or FMJ would both be excellent choices. I really like UPP on white. I haven't tried FMJ, but I assume it would also be a great choice.

My favorite combo to date is AIO + UPP on white paint.

I think I will have to experiment a little. I do have the Menzerna FTG and Clearkote RMG... think that would make any diferrence?

Scott;

But waht would you recommend? I was unabke to get all of the swirls out, but It does look a million times better! I just need to find out what the best finishing touch woul dbe on that PITA paint.

I'd recommend using what looks best to you. Try each one side by side and go with what you like the most. Appearance is too subjective for me to say which one is best for you.
