AIO on Windshield?

Hi guys. Anyone use AIO on your windshield? I need a glass polish but can't find anything in any of the chain stores. I have a little bottle of AIO. Can it be used? I want to make sure before I potentially cause a dangerous situation with hazing when it rains when the wipers go on.

Thanks.

If not AIO on the winshield, then what glass polish is out there that I can get at a chain store? I've got every supply ready for the warm weather detail except this!

I have tried a few different polishes on the windsheild with success.

Meguiars swirl mark remover 2.0

3M SMR

3M FI-2

My integra had a very weathered/swirled windsheild and SMR did a good job of cleaning it up a bit. Afterwards I washed the windshield with dawn in a spray bottle, to get rid of any fillers that the polish left behind.

I wouldn't use AIO since it will probably leave behind a small layer of acrylic polymers, which could cause hazing, that dawn won't strip.

Do not use AIO on your windshield. AIO will clean it and leave a thin layer of polymer which will break when cleaning the windshield and will smear when the wipers are used, thus needing to be removed.

Try:

claying windshield

000 or 0000 the finer the better steel wool with lots of Window cleaner for lube

Mother's polish cleaner or mild polish

Pro, Zaino, Einzsett, Autoglym or Jaguar all make glass polish.

Two reasonably common glass polishes I know of are from Autoglym (sometimes dealerships carry this, besides auto stores) and some product called Glass Stripper made by No Touch. I've been reading more about people like StyleTEG using common paint polishes on them though. I suppose I don't see much wrong with the idea of doing this since glass is much harder than paint...

I used AIO on my winshield and other windows a few months ago (just 1x) and I didn't see any negative effects. It may have been that it never rained much when I was out so I didn't need ot use the wipers much so maybe that prevented smearing and the hazing, but I had no negative experience with using it.

If you change your mind and are willing to order a product via mail order, Zaino makes a great glass polish. :xyxthumbs
