I was wondering why AIO is applied to all non porous surfaces. isn't this a polish? i dont understand why people apply aio to windows and lights and mirrors etc...can sumone help me out? thx

Andrew

Its not really a polish, its more a cleaner. But you have a good question about aplying it on windows and light.

I apply it to non-paint surfaces to clean them and provide a good base for whatever I apply next (often KSG). It'll even leave a little decent protection when used by itself.

nxt is a cleaner wax too right? why does it say on the instructions to not apply it to anything plastic...this is confusing me, but thx for ur quick replies

Andrew

AIO is not a cleaner wax. It is a cleaner, but the protection it leaves behind is acrylic...it is not carnauba.

I use AIO on paint, plastic, glass, chrome...you name it. It works great for everything, and doesn't stain trim.

Wait you mean I can aply AIO on my trim without the white dry wax mark :shocked . Does it mean I can aply SG too after?

I'm waiting for my Klasse kit, so its gonna be my first time using it (and my first real detail :D )

Yeah, at least on most trim. It's what I do on our MPV and used to do on the WRX I had. I do it on the Audis sometimes too. I use the w-o-w-o with the SG on trim though (don't use it on paint).

Except it seems that the products that some people recommend using after AIO, such as ScratchX, would remove any protectant left behind by AIO...

Still trying to sort all this out....

ScratchX is a polish (abrasive). So yes, it would definitely remove any protection left behind by AIO... or any other LSP for that matter.

I have been using aio on the rear windows, tail lights and headlights for about two years and the results are terrific but I have not applied any sg to these surfaces.

The plastic surfaces are still in pristine condition and the clear headlight covers especially seem to benefit, they have the appearance of having no plastic at all over them.

For those of you who also ride and wear helmets (and earplugs!) I just applied, carefully, aio to a very expensive clear faceshield with no problems at all-it is as crystal clear as before the application.

I used dry cotton cloth for application, and cotton cloth for removal.

It is my hope that the product will help in reducing scratching and aid in removal of deceased lower life forms.
