Aio and SSr2.5

I was planning on buying ssr2.5 and ssr1, but some people on this forum have said ssr1 is quite useless by itself. Since i am strapped on cash i cannot buy too many products. I have read about the wonders of aio. can i substitue aio for the ssr1 after polishing with ssr2.5. I am worried that if ssr2.5 hazes that the aio will not be able to remove the haze.

Klasse AIO is one of my favorite and most used products, but I consider it pretty limited in any swirl removal capability.
For the price of AIO, you could buy the SSR2 and the SSR1, but I can't help but think you would only need one of them.
I haven't used the SSR2.5, but I have used the SSR2, and I could have gone right to a wax or sealant from the SSR2.
You might want to try the SSR2 rather than the SSR2.5 to repair your problem area. It would probably just take a little longer.
If you are doing it by hand and don't have a PC, I still think I would drop back to the SSR2.

If you use SSR2.5 on a polish pad, you may not even need to finish up with a finer polish. I have used it on several cars, and diodn't feel the need to follow it up. FWIW, of course.

I used SSR 2.5 with a light cutting pad and I didn't get any hazing at all. You should be fine with just the 2.5, although the SSR 1 didn't hurt the look of the finish at all.

To give a different POV I always follow 2.5 with something. ssr1 or aio should be ok. while the aio is non abrasive, that coupled with a polish pad will remove any haze left by 2.5

To comment on the other side of your comment.....SSR1 is not useless by itself by any means. On a well maintained finish, SSR1 gives a look that is very nice. It is avery good light polish, which leaves no crap behind to interfere with the "bonding" of your LSP (wax/sealant). Now that I have used it and figured it out, I wouldn't be without it.

Do you feel that you need the cutting power of the ssr2.5? You may be able to get enough cut with the SSR2, with a better chance of not needing that final polishing step (SSR1)

As far as the AIO goes, don't think of it as a replacement for a light polish. It does have some polishing characteristics, but it's non-abrasive and will NOT have a dramatic effect (IMHO) on any but the most superficial swirls.

I agree ...as people on detailing boards are usually those who are looking for a little more "bling" , following SSR2.5 with another light polish will only add more to the look. Is it always needed? no, but like wifehatescar said AIO with a polishing pad should be able to remove any marring that might be left and like Jared said SSR1 will also add to the look.

SSR1 is a great polish. On a white car where your not concentrating on swirl removal, going straight to SSR1 will give you a nice polish look. I still like to follow with AIO to clean up any possible residue and set up for UPP or SG.

I highly recommend SSR2.5 with a polishing pad, followed by SSR1 on a finishing pad. Particularly when used a carnauba wax as your LSP. I find that the SSR1 with the finishing pad adds some gloss and wetness. Also, the added light polishing burnishes the paint just a tad more. This creates and even smoother, clearer finish.
