Quote: I'm not topping SG with wax for durability reasons.
~One mans opinion / observations~
Using a last step product (LSP) over a sealant that has cross-linked will not affect its durability. The purpose of applying a LSP protective coating to automotive finishes is to act as a sacrificial barrier, you can reapply another coating to replenish the wax that has eroded.
IMO a polymer sealant reflectivity results in a very bright, flat silver glow to the paint film surface.
By adding Carnauba wax as a LSP, once it cross-links it becomes a transparent layer on top of the paint surface and provides Colour, Depth and Clarity that is without equal.
~Hope this helps~
