why not try the products you have?

then see idf you need something else

I've tried them all a ton of times. I did 42 customer cars in 08 and I've done 12 cars so far in 2009.

Maybe the new M105 formula with 205? I just think I spend way too much time on my first pass on a bad car.

Pads maybe? I'm using Lake Country CCS yellow, white, black on most finishes

foam is great but you need wool its faster and better for first cut! hands down no foam wiil do what wool can!

Hi Temp extreme cut or Power Gloss.. never ever needed more than those.. and all with foam pads and rotory

Agreed on the "need". Power Gloss was sub-par compared to M105 to me.

What about your time? I seem to spend a lot on foam/105 or foam/SIP in my mind.

Personally, I realized that if you need to cut deeper than a regular compound I found it hard to get swirl free because as hard as I try I always seem to miss a spot and its a ***** to have to polish that one spot usually have to do the section again. As hard as i try by shifting the light back and forth. Especially on the trucks I work that have probably never been washed since they were built. If you want speed and a nice finish I use 3000 trizac on a pc right after i wash the truck (still dripping, but has to bee real clean one grain is hell for paint) one pass usually cover most of RIDS. Then I move straight to m105 or any other regular compound laying around. Trying to take off RIDS are a pain if your just using m105 or power gloss regarless of wool or foam pads on abused vehicles. The paint can be so abused that m105 or regular compounds just seem to be a more abrasive polish that don't cut down deep enough. So I decided to wetsand since its more agressive but no too much work plus you can see the pigtails if you miss a spot. trizac 3000 is real good at that its very easy to remove the sand scratches and you get the benifit of using a less agressive compound (or sip but will take longer) resulting in less polishing work.
