Ok guyz i have a detail on a Civic ef hatchback, I have seen worse exterior paint but thats not wut im worried about...The stock rims on the car are a mess! It looks like someone (the previous owner) took a brillo pad to the rims, they are flat silver, not chrome or anything, Wondering wuts the best way to bring the rims back and what products i should use...Any advice would be greatly appriciated

There might be a limit to what you can do. If you correct them enough to fix the Brillo-pad effect, you'll risk cutting through the clear/paint and then they'll *really* look awful as soon as the aluminum corrodes.

I'd probably steer clear of wetsanding them and just use an aggressive product. Sometimes you can work wonders using aluminum-wheel polish...you know, the stuff that's usually *NOT* recommended for cleared wheels. Just go very slow and easy if you try this. I'd sure make my #1 priority keeping paint over the aluminum.

Just be really careful. I don't mind repeating myself since I suggested the outside-the-box idea that might be a really *bad* idea ;)
