I'm new to this, but have been reading around on the forums for a few months now. Im looking for a plan of action for my dads BMW. I would be interested to hear your ideas for product lineups, processes, etc. We havent bought anything yet, so its all up in the air. Pictures and a proposed product lineup/process are below.

-Scratches on the left rear quarterpanel. Hopefully they'll come out?

-Mmmm...curb rash. Appears to be into the primer, so I guess thats not going to come out.

-This brake dust will not come off, without scrubbing forever with clay. Any other ideas? It appears to be burned on.

Process:

Wash

Clay

Then with PC 7274 - (Type of pads still undecided):

Poorboys SSR 2.5 and 1

Do I need a polish/cleaner after SSR, or can I move to a sealant?

Then Poorboys EX, followed by Souveran.

If the lineup looks half decent, if you could give some ideas on which pads to use with the SSR's that would be great. (like SSR 2.5 with a cutting pad or a polishing pad)

Thanks,

Fuse.

:welcome to Autopia, Fuse.

That's a nice car you got there

As you will hear many more times, it's not the product but the process (mostly). I think the Poorboy's line will do very well in this case. I would start with a polishing pad and SSR 2.5 and if that doesn't cut it (:D ), try the cutting pad. Finish off with SSR 1 (either polishing or finishing pad) and then apply a sealant.

With time you'll develop your own preferences for brands/products but that will not happen until you try a few different ones.

Be sure to post pictures when you're done.
