Ad Blockers?

I think so! Thanks, man! I guess enough people complained about it (and perhaps some other things) that they made that free Add-on available.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I will look into some of them, but right now gonna try the add-on. :)

Norton can't keep "Too Many Secrets" from me. :secret

If Internet Explorer was Waxing by Hand, then Firefox would be Waxing via PC/UDM. Seriously, the entire structure of IE is crap compared to Firefox... I'm amazed so many people haven't switched over.

I've been using Norton Internet Security for some time. One of the nice features (despite a lot of annoying ones) was the ad blocking, which blocks banner ads and such. They even had a statistics window that showed (among other things) how much time you had saved from not downloading ads.

Now, poof, that feature is gone from NIS 2007 (I'm not talking about pop-up blockers, it still has that). Anybody have a suggestion? The other security suites don't really seem to advertise (pardon the pun) this feature, and add-on software seems to be shareware type programs. Is there a good ad blocker or another suite that has this feature?

Setec,

You have to download the add-on pack to get Ad Blocking and the parental controls, it is free...

Thanks, got it a few posts up! I don't know how you guys found this when I didn't, but it was several months ago when I looked at the Symantec site, and I wasn't looking for a download, but some mention of adblocking in the FAQ...all I found was related to NIS 2006 and earlier.
