Don't feel alone I don't think he likes me much either. Maybe he's just lashing out because <strong class='bbc'>his[/b] photography skills bite. :D

Stay the course buddy you are doing a great job. About moving threads, first the responsibility to post in the correct forum belongs to the thread starter. Heck I recently moved a thread from Detailing the title of which was "Product Review - Forever Black" hmmm we do have a Product Review forum...

If a thread is clearly posted in the wrong forum it should be moved as soon as we see it thereby keeping the main forum pertinent.

Amen to that! I know that some of my pictures don't always turn out. When I get pictures that look that bad then I sure as hell ain't gonna post em as examples of something. If I'm trying to show off the reflection of a car and the pic is blurry then it doesn't really show off the reflection very well, now does it?

I don't like Al's reply in the first thread at all. I'm taking it out. It is very rude IMO. His thread is below.

If you read my post more carefully, I said I applyed it to everything but the windshield. So much for <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote' >

Okok I am back, Spent a few days out in the garage cooling down...:D Now as I run through the posts in the last few days while I was gone I notice Al posting a lot, and posting a ton of pics (that are of poor quality:rolleyes: ) Anyhoo, glad to be back> I missed the forum. But I did get a few things done in the garage(new Cabinets) Hope that things will be better now..........

This vehicle was scheduled for a intense interior detail with just a wash an wax for the exterior. however after seeing the exterior in proper lighting I just couldn't let myself give it back to the customer in that condition. So I decided that I would do a quick one step, and it worked out for me too since I wanted to finally get to play around with Meguiars Ultimate compound.

Foamed with DG901 mixed with Autowerkes Exclusive APC
Washed with DG901 via 2BM
Clayed with DI Medium Clay bar w/ CG Luber for lube
Applied Iron X (I shouldn't have bothered with it since I only saw one small dot change color and I used a third of the bottle.)
Rewashed with DG901

Polished with Meguiars Ultimate Compound and Cyan Hydrotech pad on my PC

LSP Prima Bananna Gloss. I chose this not only because I haven't used it in a while, but also because I wanted to take advantage of it's slight filling abilities to take care of any minor swirls that were left over.

Final wipe down with ReLoad

Interior Before:
The interior was in ROUGH shape to say the least. I ended up removing both front seats to get not only the carpet under them cleaned, but also so I could clean all of the drips on the center console.

I'm pretty sure this is puke, but the customer said she didn't know what it was.

The white marks on the plastic in this picture are actually scuffs and gouges not dirt.

After Sun Shots
DSC_0057.jpg

DSC_0071.jpg

Thats all for the sun shots since it got very cloudy in the afternoon. The entire car looked about the same. The hood and truck had some deep RIDS still left in them, but the rest of the vehicle finished about 85% perfect. I was very impressed with the Meguiars Ultimate compound. It worked as long as I wanted it too, even in direct sunlight, it's barely dusted at all, and it cut and finished wonderfully!!!

Thanks for looking!!!

Nice work!

I am a fan of the Ultimate Compound as well. I've done some nice things with it. Nice to see it used by someone else.

Impressive turnaround on the interior, and a VERY nice finish on the outside.
Thank you!
WOW that came out really nice. Just curious what products did you use to tackle the interior?
Thanks! On the parts that weren't nasty (seats, dash, console) I used Autoglym Interior Shampoo. On the nasty parts I used Zep Degreaser 5:1. I dressed the plastic with DP Interior Dressing (Its too glossy for me, but it does a good job bringing back faded dashed like this one was) and on the leather I dressed it with Pinnacle Leather conditioner.
Nice work!

Thanks! I was very hesitant about trying it, and now I'm kicking myself for not using it sooner. It by no means replaces any of my other polishes, but it definitely earned a spot in my arsenal!

Very nice job. The interior was disgusting, and it looks great now. Major props for the interior.
The exterior also came out great for a one step. No dusting with UC?......HmmmmOMG! Sounds like something to be considered.

I can't say no dust, but it was so minimal that I didn't even need to wash the car before going to the lap. I just blew it off with air and wiped it down. It's a nice change of pace from the massive amounts of dust from M105
Really nice work!

Very impressive turnaround on that interior, great one on the outside also!

Great work! The car was disgusting. I have Ultimate Compound, but have never used it.

Thanks guys!

Love to see great one-step jobs. This biggest bang-for-the-buck you can perform: big turn around with minimal time on the vehicle. This one can out beautiful with your hard work and looks basically brand new again.

Great write-up!
