Acronyms

I don't know if this is the right forum, or if it has already been done. Could I suggest a list explaining what all the acronyms stand for. For instance I know that AOI stands for all in one products but the rest leave me confused and I am sure I am not alone.

The best way to avoid all the confusion is not to use them at all....

In the ARMY we used them and for the right reasons.

Today, everyone feels compelled to speak in acronyms to save time but more often then not, the only thing it does is cause confusion, questions, and additional typing.....all the things it was intended NOT to do.... "get out your secret decoder ring boys because I speak on code"....acronyms...

All Purpose Cleaner
American power Conversion
Armored Personal Carrier....

Take your pick or just spell it out and remove any confusion...do it right the first time.....:bigups
 
In the days of smart phones acronyms will continue to thrive. Sometimes a name is even all but forgotten in exchange for its acronym. eg: ONR
 
Gee I managed to start a discussion by asking a question, thanks for the response to my question by the way or to use an acronymn BTW:D
