I've said that Meguiar's Deep Crystal Step #1 Paint Cleaner is nonabrasive, and I was wrong about that- it *does* contain (diminishing) abrasives. But whether it will be *functionally* abrasive on your paint is another matter.
I just read a post from Mike P. over at MOL where he says that their lab guys told him Deep Crystal #1 *does* contain diminishing abrasives. Mike seemed surprised to hear this and *I* was sure surprised too.
I haven't used this stuff forever and a day, and when I did use it, it didn't do anything that indicated it to be abrasive (note that I never tried it on single-stage). But I do recommend it from time to time as a mild paint cleaner and I'm always saying it's nonabrasive, so I wanted to post this correction.
But note that there's a difference between "abrasive" and "functionally abrasive". Some automotive paints are hard, so hard that a product that contains abrasives will not actually effect abrasion on them, at least not abrasion significant enough to qualify as correction. Plenty of products that contain abrasives are too mild to correct anything on my Audis, and some are even so mild that they don't result in paint transfer when I use them on soft single-stage.
So DC #1 *does* contain abrasives, but you gotta keep that in perspective.
