A2Z on Z2'ed wheels

I'm putting 2-3 layers of Z2 on the wheels after A2Z to get rid of the excessive brake dust that my car seems to get. After this, just washing with Z7 would be reasonable but may need to occasionally use A2Z wheel cleaner for some stuff that doesn't come off easily.

Anyone have experience or know whether the A2Z will strip off the Z2 and I would then have to re-Zaino the wheels?

What color bottle is your A2Z? The acidic version should strip the Z2 right off, I could be wrong. Not to fear though, I think that the brake dust should come off well with car wash and some agitation.

The alkakine one in the orange bottle.

It will probably strip it, or certianly weaken it. Even non-acid cleaners are still strong and can strip most sealants.

I find the need to redo the z treatment after every other washing that used A2Z. In my case that comes to about once a month (1500 miles) - z7 is used as the normal wash with very good results.

The only non-acidic wheel cleaner that EO makes is the Aluminum Wash, according to their web site. I really like it for painted aluminum rims as the metallic flakes seem to sparke more than anything else I've used.

This is odd as that is what is stated on their website, that the Aluminum wash is the only non-acid wheel cleaner they make. I wonder if they bothered to update the website info since from my understanding, the new A2Z in the orange bottle was reformulated to be alkaline to replace the older black bottled acid A2Z wheel cleaner. This was confirmed by an Autopian, E36 M Sedan, I think, who is an Eagle 1 employee on older posts. It is also mentioned that the new 2002 formula is 100% acid free on the CMA website.
