A very recent pic of my car

Believe it or not, in January, my Accord will be 14-years-old and all the paint from the front doors back is original (front end was repainted after someone turned left in front of me about 3 years ago). I took this picture about a week ago.

That's just beautiful. You know, those 4th generation Accords were the pinnacle of Honda's design; they only got worse from there. The 5th gen was tacky, the 6th gen tried going back to the 4rd gen, and the current one is bulbous and just plain weird--trying to imitate Chris Bangles fugly BMW designs.

All IMHO, of course! ;)

My first car was a 2nd gen (1984) Accord hatchback. I loved that car so much. I used lots of Nu Finish and Armor-all on it...ah my youthful innocence!

If I could only get a 4th gen Accord with the 240 hp V6 and 6 speed....:D

I agree, it's one of the best looking cars Honda has made. That is one of the reasons it is so hard letting go. With 266,700 miles on it now, it still runs real good and other than some hail dents (mostly in the hood and roof), it still looks great.

Maybe I will get lucky and find an ultra low mileage 93 Accord coupe with a 5 speed, I'd snap it up in heartbeat.

Very nice.....how about the brand of tire dressing? I like the finish of it.

Armor All applied with an Eagle One Tire Swipe. Whatever they've done with the formulation of Armor All I really like. Much more of a satiny look than it used to have. The tire swipes also apply product more evenly.

Very nice job.

I have a 1989 black Toyota Pickup that's has an original paint job, that's very shiny, with occasional nicks ofcourse.

I lost my digital camera, and I don't know how to post pics:nixweiss

Looks awesome, Scott. I just got a '97 Accord SE a few weeks ago (I know, 5th gen...but, still an Accord). Really like it, except for that dirt holding molding around the rear wheel wells, blegh--that went adios.

Yeah, I got rid of the little mudflap moldings my car had almost immediately. Your Accord should run for years with few problems.

2001civicex-I didn't even have a mullet when I had my Chevelle.

Scottwax,

Do you ever use a paint cleaner? Or, just the VM + CMW combo?

About every 6-8 months, I'll go over my whole car with Meguiars Swirl Free Polish. I haven't had to clay it for more than a year.
