A Sporty 'Lemon' Swift

Gen2

New member
Recently have been posting quite a number of black cars and I think it would be nice to post something more colorful, sporty and ‘cute’. The car was detailed when it was only a few weeks old. There were quite a bit of scratches on the bonnet and it was extremely difficult to capture the scratches on the camera for a bright yellow car, so no before and after pictures for this one. The process started as follow,

1. Wash and clay

2. Power Gloss + yellow cutting pad + rotary @ speed 1400 rpm (on the bonnet)

3. IP/RMG mix (70/30) + orange pad + DA @ speed 5

4. Prime Acrylic + green pad + DA @ speed 4

5. JW Acrylic Jett Trigger with MF towel by hand

There was a noticeable improvement in the shine and the wetness of the paint work and the owner was very satisfied with the end result too. I tried to take some photos in direct sunlight but most of them turned out either over-exposed or under ex-posed, so in the end got to move it into the shade to capture the true color and beauty of the car.

Very nice work on yellow. Believe me, I know it's hard to get it that way (look at my avatar!).

Also, that is just one neat car!

Is the trim painted or just plastic?

What did you use on it?

Hi Justin, thanks for the compliment :) . The trim is painted, so I simply go over it with the polish and the JW Trigger.

Nice work, Gen2. I'm personally not a fan of that shade of yellow but that's nothing to do with you.

Hello guys, thanks for the kind compliments :) .

Mad iX - Hi bro, it's been quite some time since we last communicated, hopefully everything is going on well over your side and when will you be coming over to Singapore again ?

VaSuperShine - In fact I was deciding between Clearkote and JW, from the result it seems like JW works pretty well on this color.

Scottwax - Hey Scott, you have always been very encouraging in your postings and that really kept me motivated and going, THANKS :xyxthumbs .
