Hey guys. Have you all checked out Zep's website? They have a huge car detail product section with ALL sorts of products. I recommend checking them out.

Anyway, I found a QEW type of product there. Here is the description:

ZEP WATERLESS VEHICLE WASH - NEW

TYPE: Waterless Vehicle Cleaner and Polish PROD. #0541

BENEFITS: Zep Waterless Vehicle Wash - New seals and protects as it cleans in one step, without the use of water. It may be used on lightly soiled painted surfaces, chrome, rubber, vinyl, most plastics and fiberglass. The resulting high-gloss finish retards resoiling of vehicle finishes. This product is not available for sale in the state of California.

Hmm, interesting, but I don't know what this stuff is. It almost sounds like some kind of QD since it's only spec'd for "lightly soiled" surfaces. Its VOC content worries me a bit though, unlike QEW which is mostly water.

ZEP is selling some interesting stuff for sure though. Interestingly enough, I stumbled across Aquapel in their Detailing section! Now if only they started selling some of this stuff at HD or something. :p

You have probably seen their household cleaning supplies at Home Depot here. I've checked them out and none of it really seems safe for total car use, but I imagine they'd be fine for cleaning things like carpets, floormats, engine bays, etc..... Their all purpose or citrus cleaners say not to use it on auto paint (unlike APC+).

The zep carpet is cleaner is pretty decent, seems to work better than other simialr carpet cleaners.

Hmmmmm...... "not for sale in California". Might that mean too high in solvents to meet CARB regulations????

Looking at the MSDS it says LIGHT ALIPHATIC NAPTHA - 20-30% in product.

22.8% VOC content

A white water thin liquid with a solvent odor
