A 90 mile drive for me so car wasn't really clean but what the heck, I got SW and BnB and a ton of micro with me. This guy next to me was spraying some stuff called minute wax he just got in the morning, and telling me how great it was and he only uses micro to get his car just right. I was thinking the micro you're using, I'm gonna use on my wheels and pitch. :)

It's 98 degrees, humid as anything and I'm lazy....... Mebbe I'll clean the car later. Lets look at some show. Still early, so not a lot of cars yet. (about 75 so far)

He owns the green one. Anyone that came near his or mine, he grabbed and started talking to. Guess he figured maybe they are judges. As well as he spent over 2.5 hrs waxing and buffing his car.

Tons of cars/people left between storms. DJ booth/amp/generator fried so the had to do awards in rain, and by shouting names.

Best of show

WOW! Grats. Looked to be a great time. Till the rain. :( That dinner looked great. There is a place down below me BIG DOGS and they make the best double bacon cheese burger i ever had. PERIOD! $8.99/With fries or onion rings. Got to have one friday. :)

Looks like a good time! Lots of quality muscle. Poor guy in the green car never saw this coming :rofl Getting placed next to Ron at a car show is like getting paired with Tiger Woods at a golf tournament and thinking you have a chance. :yourrock:bow

Congrats. QS has a weekly event if you interested. It's been awhile, but it is on either Wednesday or Thursday nights. Also, if your interested, there is a cars n coffee every third Saturday at Dupont (Clearwater/Pinellas Park) off of Ulmerton. This one has some very high $$$ cars. Just wish it didn't start so early.

Congrats Ron. It turned into a beading contest?

Which car was the green one?

hey al, it was the green 2014 vette parked next to ron's. the guy was constantly wiping it down with a dollar microfiber and some cheap spray wax/detailer and telling everyone what a car guy he was. he was really pissed when ron won, but oh well.

agreed

Boy was the guy in the green one PISSED

Thank you Mother Nature :)

Seriously though, he bought a green car. What did he expect? ;)

The picture of the Red Belvedere brought back fond memories. I used to have a customer that brought one just like that in for me to "performance tune" (his words) a couple of times a year. A 65 as I remember. He always wanted both carbs rebuilt (2 carb. kits) along with the tune, new points (2 sets), plugs, filters (2). This was pretty expensive given the era.

Tried as I might I couldn't talk him out of this practice. The car would always heat up the street when it left but it would have even if I hadn't gone through the carbs. He probably didn't put 5,000 miles a year on it and it never really had any problems to speak of, just a good runnin' Hemi. He just felt the need to treat his baby very special and he did.

Nice trophy, Ron.
