A Hearty Thank You & More ???

I just wanted to thank all those who responded to my "paint on car" problem. I no longer have to employ an attorney to sue as with a bit of work, all the splatter on my car is gone! This board has been invaluable. My mechanic, who recommended some 3M compound for clear coat cars, (no success), was astounded at how the car came out. Was unable to purchase Claymagic as I couldn't find it but instead used Mothers clay and am very happy. Since you are all so knowledgableI was hoping you might have an answer to my next query. What product would you recommend for leather seats that are very lined and cracked? Is there a carpet cleaner that would eliminate a perfume smell? Also is anyone aware of a site that has feedback or reviews of car radios and alarms? Now that my car is looking so good I feel obligated to put a new radio in it and an alarm. Thanks again.

Do a search on Leatherique. I think that will answer your questions about leather repair. I've been meaning to get some because my leather is having that cracking problem too.

I don't know that any carpet cleaner is going to remove the perfume smell out of your carpets. I love Prestone's foaming carpet cleaner. It works awesome. If you wanted to deodorize then you could shoot the carpets with some Fabreeze and see what that does. If you have access to a steam cleaner then that is what I would really suggest. That should take care of just about all odors in your carpets.

Have you checked www.crutchfield.com for radio reviews? They are probably the most expensive place to shop but they have a ton of information. I've got a Clifford alarm that I'm very happy with. Fortunatly I've never had the opportunity to see how well it does. So far the only time it has gone off is when the trash man fires up his truck after dropping the trash bin on the ground 50 feet from my car. :)

I'm glad you are enjoying the board! Welcome to Autopia!
