Howdy all! This forum is AWESOME so far...I wish I could detail cars like many of you.
I like to keep my car clean, but there are two trouble spots that I can't seem to get by. I am curious what products/methods you may recommend to get my car one step closer to "perfect"
My trunk "deck" has been building up "gunk" for a bit now. I've tried once to remove it & I could certainly see the paint going with it(notice the dark grey amongst the sea of brown).
Secondly...My front bumper has a nice little scratch on either side of it. I've tried clay, "Scratch-X", rubbing compound, etc with no real luck.
Third: What is the best way to remove hard water spots?? It seems that a 50:50 mix of vinegar & water is a popular solution. I've got them most noticeable on my windshield, but along the entire car as well.
Lastly; Unfortunately it's a bit difficult to take a picture of a windshield! However, I hate my windshield. It's rather beaten up by small pebbles, and its pretty ugly. I read that it is possible to clay the windshield. Would this help at all to reduce some of the scratches/spots? Also, while I am asking the question...what do you use to actually clean the windows? I CANNOT get a streak free window to save my life.
