A Client in Ocala, Florida needs help please!

I cant remember if there is a Detailer in Ocala or not - if so, I may have a referral for you --

A 1st time customer of mine had his wife's '05 Mini CooperS Convertible with a dark blue convertible top detailed by me about a month ago, and they just moved to Ocala.

They had the Mini trailered, it was on the lower level, and the car above it leaked oil on their freshly detailed dark blue convertible top. Bummer..:(

They just emailed me asking me what to do - so I thought it would be prudent to put it out here and see if anyone wants to email them and set something up.

I extracted the top and sprayed RaggTop Fabric Protectant on it when I saw it last, and it was perfect.

They also have a blue-green Suburban, that they wanted me to detail before they left but I could not find a slot in my overfull calendar. So, there is a potential to do this as well.. :)

Does anyone want to email these people and help them out ?

Did they have insurance? Insurance should cover for cleaning that no?

I think one of our finest detailers lives in Orlando area. His screename starts with a T. Angelo may chime in. Sure its an hour drive though haha.

He just emailed me and said the oil droplets are on the top of the Convertible Fabric and dont appear to have soaked in - Thank You RaggTop Convertible Top Conditioner !! :)
He thinks that the Trucker is not going to pay for the damage.. :(:(:(

Perhaps it wont be hard to remove the oil and that will be it...

Of course, he still has that Suburban that needed a Detail before it left, that I could not fit in my calendar on short notice....

Hope someone chimes in soon !! PM me or post up, and we can PM, etc..

I would have my foot up someones a$$ all the way to the kneecap if this happened to me. I think PaulS would agree that guy had to be an idiot to place a Used vehicle above a convertible :doh:

Thodd, Angelo or Broker99 would be a great choice to tackle this job :Swordfight:

DR...I am not sure of your expierence level, or your exact location, but this would be a tremendous oppurtunity to work alongside some of the best detailers in the World :wizard:

Yes, you should thank God daily for Raggtop. Wonderfull product line IMO :2 cents:

Dan, I hope you explained to your former client that to get a top rated detailer to come to them there will be a significant travel charge :money: :money: :money:

Thanks for the moral support and thanks Angelo for the phone number - I will call him up tomorrow morning and see if he wants to go look at this.
These are really nice people that own the MINI and the Suburban, and they will probably ask the guy to give them an estimate to go through their Suburban too..
So out of one thing, you get two - I like that kind of math !! :)

You guys/gals are still the BEST !! Too bad you're not out WEST !! :):):)

The number you gave me rang 20 times, went to a generic voicemail box, with no personal greeting.
I left a a voicemail the day you PM'd me the number, and to date, no response, so perhaps this number is no longer good?

If you have any other names/numbers for good Detailers in the Ocala/Gainesville, Fla, area, I would sure appreciate getting their info so I can give them a new Client.
