'99 Audi A4 I Detailed Today

I did this car for a friend of my sister's. He just got it. 1999 Audi A4. Paint was in decent shape except big gashes on the rear bumper. It was a exterior only and took me 1hr 50mins.



What I used on it:



-Mother's Gold Wash

-Gliptone Pro Buff

-S100 Paste Wax



-West Marine Vinyl Protectant on Tires and Plastic/Rubber Trim



-Rain-X and Gliptone Glass Cleaner on Windows

Have to say...Audi paint is awesome! The S100 really brought out the metallic and gave it some nice wetness...Not to mention nice reflections from a silver car.

Just ordered some S100 and light cut. Light cut sounds about the same as Gliptone Pro Buff. About the same price too. Here's teh link....... http://store.yahoo.com/tolae/hitligcutswi.html

I have heard S100 does not last as long as Zaino or others. I wax my car about every 2 months. Should I be concerned with S100 being good enough to protect and last? BTW, the silver Audi looks GREAT..............

That light cut looks right on the same line as the Pro Buff. Let me know how it works out.



S100 is a wax and Zaino is a synthetic paint sealant. S100's shine tends to have more depth and warmth to it while Zaino has more shine. They are 2 different types of products, hard to compare.



Using light cut and S100 every two months should be just fine. S100 roughly lasts 3 months. Good Luck and post pics :D.
 
I like the old A4's better than the new ones. You can't go wrong with a silver Audi. It looks like there is some headlight clouding. That's a huge pet peeve of mine. Who's ugly red Integra is that in the street? j/k :)

I knew that Zaino was very different from S100............did not know it was an actual sealant. I use it on my Mustang.



I will post pics when I wax next. Just wax a couple of days ago, used the rest of my Armor plating (came with Honda Pilot) renewer and topped off with Clear Kote quick shine polish. Looks pretty good............now it's time to get serious, can't wait until my S100 and Light Cut arrives.
