'87 Taurus | Brought back from the dead...

A friend of mine has been working on a Taurus, trying to bring it back to life.... just for fun. The vehicle is in overall good condition, no body rust/rot, just neglect.... Oh yea... it's a fairly original '87 in single stage Sand Beige....an exciting color.

Nonetheless, the entire paintwork is heavily oxidized, and I was curious to see what could be done. I tackled the hood, and sanded the headlamps a little to, "bring back some freshness".

ONLY before shot of the hood. And yea, no idea on the decal, it was removed.

Looks much better. What polish did you use?

I fired up the old and trusty Makita rotary... with the Meg's solo yellow pad and Menz Powergloss. Tried the Flex 3401 with the PFW and M105 (DA version)....

Then cleaned up the finish with the MEg's G110v2 machine and a black Meg's pad with M205.
