this car was a huge pain clear coat was extremely hard ended with about 75-80% correction this car has been severely neglected to say the least the 2nd picture its hard to tell (camera wouldn`t pick it up) but there was a lot of oxidation on the targa panel
 
WOW, beautiful result! Can you say "hammer time"? Yes, that is Victory Red - Monterey Red is darker with metallic.

What is the story with the LS engine in your garage? It is an LS isn`t? Valve covers and intake look like LS
 
its a 5.3 out of a 2011 gmc sierra 60k miles on it. Its the good 5.3 (aluminum block and 799heads) i was gonna use it for a build i was doing...firebird formula with turbo 5.3 but plans changed i sold the formula and now i just have the engine laying around
 
I can agree with the OP on the clear being VERY hard. I specialize in Corvettes and to get one perfect requires time and a lot of it. I am to the point I wetsand with 3000 and 5000 to get scratches out of them for the customer who wants near perfection. This car was extremely neglected for 12 years. Full writeup coming soon.
