I think the answer is that you don't necessarily HAVE to wait for 845 to cure. That said, I generally wait until the next wash before going with the AW.
My experience with 845 is that it takes a little bit of time for the true finish of 845 to come out. If you look at the car 3 or 4 hours after application, it will look better than it did right after application.
