#83 + Meg's finisning pad appears to deliver fine results.
I wonder, has anyone used #83 at 1300-1400 rpm with Meg's finishing pad, as a one successful step ?

The reason I ask is I used it today on a car whose paint is a repaint (red), and 98% of cobwebs are gone now, leaving a rich red sheen

I found that at 1400 rpm it buffs longer and as a result cuts more, thus making the finish look real fine.

Let me know if some of you experimented that too

P.S. I'm using a *rotary buffer* NOT a D.A.

Thanks for the tip. It appears that using finishing pads with polishes is gaining ground. I do not have a Meg`s finishing pad but may experiment with a LC one with #83. I like the concept. What size pad are you using?

I use 6 1/2 inches pads :) However this finding of using a finishing pad with #83 doesn't work on al paint. I've found it to work well with repaint.

FYI #83 is designed to be used with BC/CC. It breaks down as you use it with your rotary, but you can use it with PC or by hand also. I've used it with the small 6 1/2 pad also and turns out good. I've noticed other ppl on other forums use it at about 1750 RPMS as I do also. I've had problems with it gumming up at lower speeds and or too much product.
Hope this helps!
