7th Gen Maxima?

Hey everyone, I'm looking at getting a different car and I have been eyeing the latest Maximas. I test drove a 2013 Maxima SV with Sport Package and I really liked it. It rode really nice, had many amenities, and was quick for what it was. I have never owned a Nissan vehicle before, but I want to buy something that will be reliable. The one thing that makes me kind of nervous is the CVT transmission in it.

How reliable is the 3.5 V6 and CVT transmissions in the latest Maximas? I know that 09-10 models have had the transmission warranty extended due to potential issues. I am wondering if Nissan resolved the transmission problems or redesigned it for the newer models.

I have also seen online on older Altimas where people have experienced rusting and rot in the floorboards, along with rusting in other places? Is rusting common on Nissans, especially Maximas?

How is the paint on the Maximas? Is it good quality and thick, or is it prone to chipping and swirling easily?

I have noticed on 8 out of 10 newer Nissans that I see that the headlights fade within 4 to 5 years. I am guessing Nissan uses sub par quality vendors for headlights. Coud I put something like an Xpel film on the headlights to protect them even with HIDs?

I am sure there are a few 7th Gen Maxmia owners, and others that have detailed them on here. I just wanted to gather some opinions on these cars, and see if they are a good reliable car that's in the low $20K range.
